Multi-award-winning sovereign cloud and cybersecurity services provider, METCLOUD, is expanding its presence in Birmingham. The company has plans to create up to 100 jobs. This strategic growth drive follows a series of major contract and partnership wins. Consequently, it reinforces the company’s position as a leader in digital transformation, AI, and cybersecurity innovation.
METCLOUD has demonstrated its commitment to delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity, AI solutions, and support services to its growing client base. They have done this by taking up the entire fifth floor of Lyndon House in Birmingham. In addition to creating up to 100 skilled roles in cybersecurity, the expansion will enable the business to increase its presence in key sectors. These sectors include defence, critical national infrastructure, Government, health, finance, and insurance.
The software and services company’s expansion has been driven by a series of recent contract successes. Notably, it was selected to provide cybersecurity services to specialist defence manufacturer NMS UK. The international firm recently invested in a new facility in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. This facility will focus on producing protected patrol vehicles for both the UK defence industry and international export. Through this partnership, METCLOUD’s secure sovereign cloud solutions will help NMS UK comply with stringent defence industry regulations. This will provide a robust framework to protect sensitive data while enabling operational efficiency.
Furthermore, METCLOUD is empowering businesses in the fight against cybercrime through the formation of a number of strategic partnerships. Specifically, these partnerships are with complementary cybersecurity providers, including Birmingham-headquartered CyberQ Group. Through this collaboration, CyberQ’s expertise in threat detection, response, and mitigation is combined with METCLOUD’s state-of-the-art secure cloud services. Consequently, they create a fortified cyber defence ecosystem. This ecosystem is tailored for modern digital infrastructures.
The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) – the region’s official investment promotion agency – supported METCLOUD’s expansion. They provided dedicated sector-focused consultancy and PR support, to help the business raise its profile in the local marketplace. METCLOUD has also participated in London & Partners’ Grow Global programme. This programme has supported the business in growing its international presence and accessing new growth opportunities. The programme included expert guidance and helped the business shape its international growth strategy. Additionally, it provided international trade missions, workshops, events, and connections to key partners.
